Welcome to Beth Jacob's Youth Department!
Shalom and welcome! Here at Beth Jacob, we're thrilled to offer a Youth Department that truly feels like home for our children. We believe in providing a nurturing and joyful environment where every child can grow in their love for Torah, community, and Jewish values. Our dedicated programs, led by Rabbi Adam Simon and our amazing team, are designed to be fun, engaging, and inspiring for kids of all ages. Come join our family!
Morning Groups
Pre-school Groups with Morah Faye (Ages 0-Pre K)
- This timeless pre-school program includes storytelling, songs, and a kid-dish (kiddush for kids).
- Please note: Morah Faye’s group starts at 9:30am.
Kinder Congregation with Miss Lia, Miss Dena, and Miss Eve (K, 1st, 2nd Grade)
- A fun, interactive place for young daveners to learn specific parts of davening to prepare them for Junior Congregation.
- Kids will “graduate” to Junior Congregation with a ceremony upon mastering the covered parts of davening.
- Features active games, snack, and basic Parsha learning.
Junior Congregation with Jordan, Eliyahu, Tzvi, & Gideon (2nd, 3rd, 4th Grade)
- Young daveners learn Tefillah Be’tzibbur (davening with a minyan), including the Chazan’s Repetition, Kedusha, and Torah Reading.
- Learn to navigate the “regular” siddur with fun games like “Find the Word.”
- Features treats, story time, and games with Rabbi Simon.
Training Wheels with Rabbi Simon (5th Grade - Bar Mitzvah)
- Prepare for the “big leagues” by introducing participants to davening in the Main Sanctuary.
- Engage in in-depth learning about the meaning and purpose of davening in a conversational environment.
- Features trivia games and opportunities to participate in the main service, with rewards for participation.
Afternoon Groups
- Active Games: 40 minutes of engaging games starting 1 hour before Mincha.
- For games, 4th grade and older meet at “the forest” inside the main entry gate, and 3rd grade and younger meet in the park.
- Please note: While the park is open to all members, we kindly ask those not participating in groups to minimize park use during this time to allow groups to run smoothly.
- Story and Snack: For all ages, held 20 minutes before Mincha in the Beit Midrash.

Monday-Friday: 6:15am
Daily Mincha/Maariv:
per Shkiah (~20 minutes before Sunset):
Sunday-Thursday: 5:45pm

Torah Tidbits with Rabbi Frankel:
5 minutes before Mincha/Maariv, Sunday-Thursday
Shabbos:
Shacharis: 8:45am
Mincha: 5:25pm
